Start door-to- door campaign, polling station executives urged

Agona Nyakrom, (C/R), May 11, GNA - Mr Kwadwo Kwakye, First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Agona West, has appealed to polling station executives and constituency officers to start a door-to-door campaign, to win more supporters for the party towards the 2012 general elections.

He said the members needed to work hard and avoid complacency because the 2012 election would be difficult for all the parties. Mr Kwakye made the appeal at the inauguration of the Agona Nyakrom Local executives of the Party at Agona Nyakrom. He said even though the party is feverishly preparing to conduct its Presidential primaries on August 7, 2010, there was the need to plan towards the 2012 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. He exhorted the NPP members to eschew selfishness, maligning and back-biting among the rank and file of its supporters. Mr Kwakye said the NPP should avoid negative tendencies, which could affect it chances of winning the 2012 elections. Mr Betty Voha, Agona West Women Organizer, told the women members of the party to tolerate each other and also intensify their campaign to win more members for the party. Mr Kwame Gyimah, Agona West Constituency Research and Electoral Officer of the party, urged the local executives to work hard to retain the Parliamentary seat.

Other executive members are, Mr Daniel Afful, Vice Chairman, Mr R.A. Amoah secretary, Mr Godson Donkoh Assistant Secretary, Mr Kwame Ashmond Organizer and Mr Baaba Ayiku Assistant Organizer. The rest are, Ms Issah Mohammed, Women Organizer, Ms Veronica Aggrey Assistant Women Organizer and Ms Sarah Baffoe, Treasurer. 11 May 10
