Red Alert: Children Of Ghana Beware Of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo

The Childrens’ Desk of the National Cohesion Committee of the Alliance for Advancement of Democracy (AAD) wishes to condemn the reckless statement of “All DIE BE DIE” made by no single person than Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.

The National Cohesion Committee further wishes to urge Children above the ages of sixteen (16) and would be eighteen (18) come 7 December, 2012 to beware of a Presidential aspirant like Nana Akuffo Addo who is selfish, self centred, greedy, provocative, divisive and above all a security risk to our matured democracy.

The Alliance for Advancement of Democracy would recall that in the year 2000 children were used as political campaign porn’s by the fraternity that Nana Akuffo Addo is leading; it is our hope that our colleagues would resist any such move to use children of Ghana to commit crimes against humanity come election 2012.
As children, our desire is to see our fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers die natural death but not in cold blood as being championed by Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo. In the view of the Children Desk, of the National Cohesion Committee of AAD, the “ALL DIE BE DIE” statement by Nana Akuffo Addo should not be treated with Kid gloves.
Our little understanding of the law is that, it is no respecter of persons or any groups of people, since the law of causing panic and fear has not been repealed, we believe it for the sake of the common good of all that our colonial masters passed this law.
It is our wish that the National Security Agencies would not allow these death threats to go unattended, since this careless comment is a clear breach of the law.
As children, we bear living testimonies to the numerous carnage and agony, children and parents went through in countries affected by civil strife e.g. Liberia, Rwanda, Uganda, DR Congo, Somalia, Togo and Sierra Leone as reported in the Ghanaian and International media.
Ghana is our beloved motherland and that we are not prepared to mortgage our freedom and peace in exchange of unwitting destruction of life and property, all because Nana Akuffo Addo wants to be the ruler of none. Indeed if all “DIE WERE TO BE DIE”, what would the world of the vulture look like.
We would like to state that the children of Ghana and their parents would not be coward to surrender their sovereign will on the altar of intellectual dishonesty and war mongering to any Ghanaian who want to lead this peace loving country of Ghana.
Elections are about exchange of ideas and marketing of a new order to better the lot of the people in a free democratic environment. It is up to the electorate to choose without duress. Our advice to Nana Akuffo Addo, is that he should speak to the issues and stop this nonsense of “ALL DIE BE DIE”which is the lazy man’s approach.
In any case, the statement made by Nana Akuffo Addo would be one of the bases for selecting the President of Ghana come December 7, 2012.
Arise children of Ghana and let the whole world know that ALL DIE NO BE DIE. Let us make peace, stability, love for nation and one another, development, national cohesion and social justice our goal.
We are also calling on all children rights and youth advocates groups to condemn the statement made by Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.
