Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the New Patriotic Party chairman for Ashanti Region has said the National Democratic Congress' failure to resolve the differences between the party and its founder, Former President Rawlings, is putting their supposed united front in disarray.

"The body language of ex-president Rawlings tells it all. He didn’t want to be associated with corrupt men. Never did he smile and his heart wasn’t there- he simply wants his party back and doesn’t believe John Mahama has what it takes to be leader of his party," he said.

According to the NPP chairman, popularly known as chairman Wontumi, the corrupt leadership by Former President Mahama and his officials exhibited during his time in office, was enough reason for Rawlings to have ordered his death by firing squad if this was 1979.

Chairman Wontumi added Mahama and his fellow party members did nothing but deprive the country of its wealth rather than govern it.

He stated that the NDC secretary, Asiedu Nketiah also spent his time working behind the scenes, engaging in all manner of corrupt activities, while disrespecting the party's founder as well.

Chairman Wontumi's comments follow the Silver Jubilee celebration of the NDC last Sunday.

A mammoth rally was held at the Ashaiman Mandela Park, which saw many party executives and supporters troop to the park to see the main party bigwigs and celebrate the anniversary .
