RE-We don't know Justice Ali

My attention has been drawn to a publication in the front page of vol. 18 No. 016 Tuesday 7th May, 2013 edition of the ENQUIRER news paper which goes with the caption “We don’t know Justice Ali-Young Democrats”. I have carefully read the said publication and it is with heavy heart that i write this rejoinder.
It may well be true that you do not know me as I do not know you ( Mr. Abass Osabutey) either. If it pleases you (Mr. Abass Osabutey) we are YOUNG, we are DEMOCRATS and we share in the ideals of the great National Democratic Congress (NDC). The fact that you do not know me or
The ND C won the last general elections because of many individuals including this and many other groups scattered around the country that you may not know and there is a lot more to do than fight a needless turf war which is what you seek to do with this publication. It sadly appears to be lost on you (Mr. Abass Osabutey) that we should identify ourselves and channel our energies for a more productive course at a time when our political detractors appear to be holding sway in the propaganda battle. Your belligerent and unprovoked reactionary response to our call is therefore most unfortunate, too hypocritical and regrettable. We are pleased to place on record that your three (3) days ultimatum to us to withdraw and apologize, your aspersions and insinuations of criminality on our part stand ignored with contempt.
As a matter of fact we merely sought in that statement to draw the attention of the President, HE John Dramani Mahama to the fact that an inclusion of the Hon Dr. Ekow Spio Garbrah in his government would certainly further strengthen the Mahama/Amissah-Arthur administration and i shudder to think that any “Young Democrat” will have an issue with such a call. Again, there are only very few NDC members who have campaigned nationwide for national office, as either flag bearer candidates of aspirants for positions at NDC National headquarters. Dr Spio-Garbrah has been among a group of less than three people in NDC who have done that, so he has a following nationwide. And it is important that leaders in the Government or in the NDC understand that when neglect such NDC leaders as Hon Dr. Spio-Garbrah the effect is to de-motivate hundreds of thousands of loyal NDC members throughout the country.
So as Young Democrats we must focus on that problem of how to forge greater internal unity, rather than who occupies what position or office among the various Young Democrats.
