Project Manager wins Ashaiman NPP parliamentary primary

Ashaiman, May 1, GNA - Mr Seji Saji, 36, Project Manager of the African Centre for Energy Policy, on Saturday won the Ashaiman Constituency primary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with 244 votes.

The two other contestants in the race, Mr Thomas Adongo and Mr Emmanuel Kingsley Teye, former Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, had 115 and 94 votes respectively.

Mr Saji thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him, and

reminded members and supporters of their collective responsibility to wrest

power from the National Democratic Congress come December 2012. Mr Adongo and Mr Teye promised their unflinching support for the

elected parliamentary candidate to ensure victory for the party.
