A journalist with Movement TV, Gordon Asare-Bediako, has emphasised the need for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to prioritise unity as it prepares to elect a flagbearer ahead of the 2028 election, amid growing tensions between party factions.

In a post shared on his Facebook page on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, he wrote, "As the New Patriotic Party navigates these challenging times, it's imperative that we prioritise unity, stability, and the party's long-term interests."

He noted that with strategic leadership and shared values, the party can overcome its current challenges.

"By putting aside personal differences and focusing on our shared values and goals, we can overcome current obstacles and emerge stronger. I am confident that with collective effort, strategic leadership, and a renewed commitment to our principles, the NPP will not only endure but thrive, rising again to serve the people of Ghana with excellence and integrity," he added.

His comments follow growing tensions between campaign teams of some flagbearer aspirants of the NPP ahead of the party's presidential primary slated for January 31, 2026.
