President Ouattara pays a day’s visit to Ghana

Accra, Oct. 5, GNA – Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara would pay a day’s visit to Ghana on Thursday, October 6.

A statement issued in Accra on Wednesday by Mr Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communications, Office of the President, said President Ouattara would have a closed-door meeting with President John Evans Atta Mills and meet a section of the Ivorian Community in Ghana.

It said Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire would sign an agreement with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) relating to Ivorian refugees in Ghana.

President Ouattara returns home later the same day.

In another development, Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan is also expected in Accra on Friday, October 7, for a two-day visit to Ghana.

The statement said President Jonathan would have a closed-door session with President Atta Mills and be the Special Guest at the Golden Jubilee anniversary celebration of Ghana Institute of Management And Public Administration (GIMPA).
