President Mills commended for remaining focussed

Winneba), Aug 19, GNA - A founding member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Kofi Mintah, has commended President John Atta Mills and his government for maintaining their focus despite attempts to detract them.

Commenting on some political developments in the country, Mr Mintah who is a former Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, said a section of the minority was bent on derailing the Better Ghana Agenda of the President.

He said he was happy that despite efforts to play down the achievements of the NDC administration, the President and his ministers had not lost focus and were working hard to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.

He commended Vice President John Dramani Mahama for his support for President Mills.

Mr Mintah reminded the NPP and its supporters that no body was ordained to rule Ghana and that if anyone wanted to become the President he or she must adopt a decent campaign strategy.

"Ghanaians are matured in deciding for whom they should vote for in an election."

Mr Mintah appealed to members of the NDC to be careful about their utterances in order not to create room for their opponents to pick on them and that they should remain steadfast and united.

Mr Mintah said though signs pointed to a massive victory for the party in 2012 general election, members and supporters must not be complacent but to work hard.
