The Minority has accused President John Dramani Mahama of resorting to blame-shifting instead of providing tangible solutions as he leads the National Economic Dialogue.
At a press conference on Monday, March 3, 2025, the former Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam criticized the President’s approach, arguing that he was deflecting responsibility rather than addressing Ghana’s economic challenges with concrete measures.
Dr. Amin Adam dismissed the dialogue as a redundant exercise lacking fresh perspectives, suggesting that President Mahama's leadership style remained unchanged.
“Ladies and gentlemen, here we are again—another round of blame games, another National Economic Dialogue, and the same old approach. His Excellency John Dramani Mahama claims to be creating jobs yet begins by dismissing those who already have jobs,” he stated.
He urged the government to prioritize practical solutions over political rhetoric, asserting that while the President speaks of economic revitalization, his actions suggest otherwise.
“You cannot build a thriving economy by dismissing hardworking individuals and blaming others for your own failures,” he stressed.
Dr. Amin Adam called on Ghanaians to critically evaluate the policies being proposed at the dialogue and hold the administration accountable.
He warned that without decisive action and responsible governance, Ghana’s economic struggles would persist, regardless of the discussions held at the forum.
