Politicians gave commands on how Ofosu Ampofo should be handled - Akamba alleges

The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Joshua Akamba is alleging that police officers handling the party’s Chairman’s alleged audio case took instructions from their political opponents.

“We are not the owners of this country, the NPP and Nana Addo are the owners of this country, something funny happened inside, commands were being taken from politicians to demand what they should do with their opponent” he told the media at the CID headquarters after Mr. Ofosu Ampofo had been granted bail.

He continued: “I am not alleging, I have information, you know we work with intelligence, the way they are, we also have people within them and we get information and no matter what they do, we will get the information, we know who was remote controlling the police.”

Samuel Ofosu Ampofo was at the CID head office on Monday after he was invited following a leaked audio in which he allegedly made some comments bordering on the security of some persons and the country ahead of the 2020 general elections.
