Political Violence: Two Shot In Tamale Central

Two people have been admitted to the Tamale Regional Hospital after they sustained gun shot wounds in the town of Lamesegu.
The incident occurred some three kilometers away from the Tamale Central constituency, where former President Jerry John Rawlings and the NDC vice presidential candidate are due to address a rally.
According to the JOY Election Watch Team, the incident occurred as people lined up the streets to greet the former president?s convey.
One of the victims, a 14-year-old boy who is yet to be identified was shot in the head and he is said to in critical condition, while the other person whose name was given as Abdul Raman Iddara is in stable condition.
But there is no indication of who fired the shots except that the shot came from the crowd.
There are also reports of water poisoning in Tamale where some people had stomach-ache after eating ice-kenkey and taking ice water.
They were rushed to the hospital and it was confirmed that there was some kind of poisoning in the food.
Meanwhile, people in the area are now afraid to buy either one of the two items, which are currently being retrieved.
