Police the polls – Mahama orders party supporters

The Presidential candidate of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) President John Dramani Mahama has called on party supporters to police the polls and be vigilant on Election Day to win them a second term of office.

“We must police the polls, we must make sure we are vigilant and that everything is done according to the rules.”

Addressing the party’s final campaign rally ahead of the general elections on Friday at the Trade Fair Center in Accra, the President admonished party supporters to continue in their ‘focus, the determination, the perseverance and the singleness of purpose with which we have pursued the campaign, we must use that same determination to do the election day activities.”

According to him, an election is won or lost on the day of the election, therefore the supporters should ensure that all the campaigning activities of the party across the country be crowned with a win on December 7.

He expressed the confidence that the NDC will win the 2012 elections saying, “we are confident that if this election is peaceful, if it is successful, if everything is done according to the rules, I am confident that the NDC will win the elections come December 7, 2012”.
