The final report of the ad hoc committee set up by Parliament to look into the bribery allegations against leadership of the Appointments Committee is expected to be presented on Wednesday, March 29.

The five-member committee is currently considering its draft report, according to the Acting Director of Public Affairs of Parliament, Kate Addo.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, March 22, Ms Addo said evidence were taken from three more witnesses.

The committee chaired by Member of Parliament for Essikado-Ketan Joe Ghartey had been given 30 days within which to complete its investigations.

But the time has elapsed.

The committee in its sittings heard first from Chairman of the Appointments Committee Joe Osei-Owusu before hearing from members Alhaji Mohammed Muntanka Mubarak, Mahama Ayariga and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The report by the committee will be presented on the set date “subject to approval by the Business Committee”.
