New soccer academy to fight HIV/AIDS

Akim-Oda, Sept. 21, GNA - The Universal United Youth Exchange and Tourism, an Akim Oda-based NGO, has formed a Soccer Academy with a peculiar aim of using football to fight the HIV/AIDS menace. Mr Eric Pinamang Asare, General Overseer of the NGO, called for a concerted effort to fight the "killer".

He said as part of the awareness programme, jerseys to be worn by the players would be embossed with HIV/AIDS messages.
