Omanhene congratulates Kufuor

Accra, Dec. 31, GNA - The Omanhene of the Assin Apimanim Traditional Area in the Central Region, Barima Kwame Nkyi has congratulated President John Agyekum Kufuor on his re-election saying it was a manifestation of his exemplary leadership and commitment to good governance.

In a statement released in Accra on Friday, he said it was their hope that Positive Change II "would be executed to its fullest conclusion".

He commended President Kufuor for the rapid development of the Assin Manso Slave Route Project, which was "one of the budding tourism centres in the Central Region.

"We pray for the provision of potable water, health facility, communication system and security to enhance tourist attraction and the upgrading of Assin Manso Secondary School into a model status for rapid development of the area," the message said.
