Obama-Style Emails by NDC

NDC NORTH AMERICA SUPPORTERS LAUNCH OBAMA-STYLE E-MAIL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

On September 15, 2008, NDC North America Supporters sent thousands of E-Mail messages to Ghanaians around the world. This marked the start of a campaign, enthusiastically embraced by the NDC Flagbearer, John Evans Atta Mills and his running mate John D. Mahama, to raise a significant amount of funds for the NDC campaign via e-mail, just as Barack Obama's campaign does it.

The e-mails contain a message from the flagbearer and his running mate and a "Donate" button which allows a donor to donate directly from the e-mail to the campaign. The "Donate" button also directs the donor to the mills-mahama-ghana.com website.

Emulating Obama's e-mail operations, the mills-mahama-ghana.com e-mails are sent periodically. The e-mails target prospective donors in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Germany and Ghana.

NDC North America Supporters have embarked on a massive and fast-paced campaign to obtain massive numbers of e-mail addresses to reach Mills-Mahama supporters in the targeted countries. Their goal is to raise a significant amount of campaign funds, efficiently and quickly, in the homestretch of the NDC's march to the Castle on December 7, 2008.
