Nkoranza North constituency of NDC opens nominations

Nkoranza (B/A), Aug. 29, GNA - Mr Joseph Mensah, Deputy Secretary of the Nkoranza North Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) o= n Tuesday picked a nomination form to contest the Party's forthcoming parliamentary primaries.

Mr Mensah, a 49 year-old professional graduate teacher and a citizen o= f Bono Manso in Nkoranza North, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that he was the first aspiring candidate to pick the nomination form from the party's office at Busunya. He said he had been very loyal to the party since the year 1992 and hi= s influence in the community had encouraged a number of the people in Bono Manso to support the NDC.

The aspirant said the NDC had continuously won elections in the Bono-Manso electoral area in the previous four general elections, and expressed confidence that he would emerge victorious in the primaries. Mr Kofi Adu, constituency secretary of the party told the GNA in a telephone conversation that interested members of the party, who wants to contest the primaries, should pick up nominations forms. He confirmed that Mr Mensah was the first aspirant to pick a nominatio= n form in the constituency.
