New Edubiase Constituency of NPP launches campaign

New Edubiase(Ash), July 21, GNA - The New Edubiase Constituency of New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Sunday launched its campaign for the December Presidential and Parliamentary elections with a rally at New Edubiase in Adansi South District in Ashanti. Mr De-Graft Kyei-Baffour, Parliamentary Aspirant was officially introduced to the electorate and funds raised for their activities.

A 30-member Constituency Campaign Team headed by Mr Francis Dorpenyoh, Adansi South District Chief Executive was also inaugurated. Addressing the rally, Mr Peter Kwabena Ameyaw, Adansi North District Chief Executive, called on people of Adansi South District to change their voting pattern this time round and vote massively for the NPP to enable it continue with its development of the area. He said despite the NPP not winning the parliamentary seat since 1992, Government had transformed the constituency in terms of development projects which required retaining the NPP Government in power to improve the living standards of the people. Mr Ameyaw asked supporters and sympathizers of the Party to remain united and rally behind Mr Kyei-Baffour to wrestle the seat from National Democratic Congress (NDC). He urged the campaign team and foot soldiers to intensify their campaigns to the remote areas and explain Government policies and programmes to the people in a peaceful manner devoid of insults to woo them into the NPP family.

Nana Abu Bonsrah, Member of Parliament for Fomena, cautioned Ghanaians not to make a mistake to return the NDC to power as that would bring back dictatorship and slavery in the country. Mr Dorpenyoh, on behalf of the campaign team, pledged their commitment to move to all parts of the constituency to educate the electorate on the need to vote for NPP to win the seat and presidential slot.
