New Campaign Manager Arrives From UK

CPP(UK) Sends ?Biggest Thinker? To Ghana For Crucial Phase of the Election Campaign

The elections in Ghana will soon be entering a critical phase of campaigning and the United Kingdom and Ireland branch of the Convention People?s Party (CPP) has seconded Mr Michael Nunoo to the mother Party in Accra, Ghana. Mr Nunoo is the current Treasurer of CPP(UK) and is known as the ?Big Thinker? of the Branch . Mr Nunoo will be heading a combined CPP National and Presidential campaign to inject added momentum.

He will be working closely with the Chairman of the Party ? Dr Edmund Delle and the Presidential Candidate ? Mr George Aggudey.

Mr Nunoo will also be working closely with the General Secretary, Prof Nii Noi Dowuona and his team to review as and if necessary the Campaign strategy and programme drawn by the General Secretary and the team. . Upon arrival at Accra International Airport , Mr Nunoo said to party sympathizers and well wishers ? We already have a good team in place , my role is to make it a great team?

He added that ? the CPP has never lost its organizational ability and that ability is now being seen in small communities up and down the country, we enter this battle with a clear intention of dislodging the incumbent?. ? They promised change but the hope around ?positive change has now turned to despair, they promised competence and good governance but in 3 short years we have had two major loan scandals ? IFC and CNT, both without satisfactory due diligence, they promised zero tolerance , but from the President?s own office came ?Bambagate?.

On the economy they follow the failed path that the NDC now admits was a mistake and has abandoned for their new position of ?Social Democracy?. They have failed miserably on Ghana Airways to the shame of every Ghanaian, but my message to my fellow countrymen is this - hang on for four more months, HOPE IS ON THE WAY, a CPP government will finally return to government in January 2005 to put Ghana back on track.

Good Luck to Michael and the CPP Campaign Team
