NPP will take out politics from the fishery sector - Nana Addo

The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has assured fisher folks that an NPP led administration will restore the fishery management committee and take out politics from the industry should he be voted into power.

Nana Akufo-Addo who was addressing fishermen and people at Elmina on Monday said, a vote for the NPP is a vote for an industrial development of Agriculture in the country including the fishery industry.

The three times presidential candidate of the largest opposition party called urged the fisher folks to vote massively for the NPP, since it is the only party with the best plans and policies to restore hope and make Ghana work again.

He added, he will also ensure that premix fuel which remains a scarce commodity under this current administration becomes a thing of the past, if elected as president. The commodity he assured the fishermen will cheaper under his administration.

Nana Addo called on the people to have the courage to participate in the campaign for change which the NPP is bringing to Ghanaians.

The fisher folks on their part, charged the flagbearer to keep his word should he win the upcoming elections, because politicians who have seek their mandate have failed them in the past.

They expressed their gratitude for the assurance given them and were hopeful that the fishing industry will see massive transformation.
