Former Member of Parliament for Suame, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to acknowledge the shortcomings of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration and focus on rebuilding the party to recapture power in 2028.
Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV, monitored by GhanaWeb on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the former Majority Leader said self-reflection and accountability are essential steps for the NPP to regain public trust.
“President Nana Addo did a lot of good things for Ghana. But the events post-COVID caused some havoc in the system. It introduced a lot of turbulence, and in that process, a few things went wrong. We must all reflect; could we have done it in a better way? Every decision has its own positives and flip sides. Maybe the way to go would be to own up to certain things and then move on,” he said.
