NPP greets members on 13th anniversary

Accra, Aug. 1, GNA - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Monday congratulated its volunteers, sympathisers and members, who have and are still standing by the Party since its formation 13 years ago.

"As the Party chalks 13 years of its existence, the Leadership urges all members not to relent in their efforts to help to build the Party into a more formidable force to enable it to win more victories," it said in a statement signed by Mr Edmund Annan, Acting General Secretary.

The NPP told members, supporters and the entire nation that it would remain focused in its advocacy of good governance, creation of wealth, economic growth, poverty reduction, free press and democracy to enable the nation to claim her rightful place among the comity of nations.

The Party pledged its support to President John Agyekum Kufuor as his Administration took all the necessary measures to ensure that the economy was managed in a manner as to provide adequate means of livelihood and employment for as many Ghanaians as would be practicable.
