The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has accused the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government of deliberately concealing important portions of the audit report concerning the National Cathedral project.
He has called for the immediate and full disclosure of the report, condemning what he describes as the ‘selective release’ of information.
Speaking with Asempa FM on July 21, Kodua Frimpong alleged that the current government is leveraging the audit findings to advance a political agenda.
“The NDC ruling government is concealing portions of the audit report on the National Cathedral. Why are they not releasing the full report but are releasing bits? They should make the full document available to the public in the spirit of transparency,” he said in the video of the interview share by SikaOfficial on July 22, 2025.
He claimed the government is strategically releasing only those parts of the report that serve its interests, while deliberately withholding the complete document from the public.
According to the NPP General Secretary, this selective dissemination of information is severely hampering the ability of the National Cathedral project's management to adequately respond to the audit findings and to communicate openly and transparently with the public on the matter.
He emphasised the importance of full transparency for accountability and to allow all parties involved to address the issues raised in the audit comprehensively.
Kodua Frimpong reiterated the NPP's demand for the government to release the entire audit report without further delay, urging them to cease what he perceives as a politically motivated manipulation of the findings.
