NPP Youth Organiser expresses appreciation

Accra, Dec.22, GNA - Mr John Boadu, the newly elected National Youth Organiser, of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed appreciation to the entire membership of the Party for their prayers and support that elected him to the position.

He promised to justify the trust reposed in him to be the spokesman for the youth wing of the party.

In a statement issued shortly after his election at the party's National Conference at Legion at the weekend, Mr Boadu said the battle to encourage the youth to play their well-deserved role in building the party had gathered momentum and appealed to them to show more dedication and commitment.

"I promise to offer the required leadership and I expect the youth to come on board to ensure a resounding victory for the party in 2008." "In the past the youth have unfortunately been apathetic towards party affairs, complaining about lack of incentives. But this trend is going to be reversed under my leadership and the services of each and every individual would be recognised," He added.

Mr Boadu said the new leadership of the youth wing, in conjunction with the National Executive, would work assiduously to ensure that the hard working youth among them were handsomely rewarded. He expressed delight at the peaceful nature of the conference, and said this underpinned the democratic tendencies, which the Danquah-Busia family held high.

"The family encourages competition but when the winner emerges we accept the decision in good faith," he emphasized. 22 Dec.05
