NPP Vice Chairmen caucus backs Samba to stay in Northern Region

The Constituencies Vice Chairmen Caucus of the NPP in the Northern Region has given their strong backings to the Regional Chairman of the party, Mr Mohammed Baantimah Adam Samba to stay in the Northern Region to continue his Chairmanship mandate to increase the party’s fortunes.

The Northern Regional Chairman, Mr Adam Samba affectionately called ‘Chairman Do All’ have come under pressure from some party youth to relocate to the newly created North-East Region. According to them, Mr Samba who hailed from Nalerigu (capital of North East) should go to the North East region and contest as Chairman.

But the Constituencies 1st and 2nd Vic“ Chairman ‘Do All’ has the constitutional mandate to choose as to where to stay whether North East or Northern Region, moreover he can even extend his voting rights to any other region in Ghana because he is a Ghanaian and not a Togolese. So far as the 1992 constitution of the Republic of Ghana as well as the constitution of the New Patriotic Party is concern, no amount of pressure and intimidation can demoralize the hardworking chairman and take him our of the region”. They emphasized

The NPP Vice Chairman caucus said, the agenda 22 seats for the NPP come 2020 elections promised by Mr. Adam Samba is on course, “We are focused and dedicated in the ‘Agenda 22 seats’ objective, set up by our chairman. We won’t allow any detractor to change our course in achieving this agenda”.

Adding that, “We the Vice Chairmen for the 18 constituencies in the Northern Region are in full support of Chairman Samba and believe he can help the party achieve its set goals and target”.

They hinted that, Mr. Adam Samba has made the NPP very attractive in the region due to his philanthropists works and leadership qualities, saying that “Chairman Samba has change the face of the party in the region because he has touched many lives in the region”

The Tamale Central 1st Vice Chairman and the spokesperson of the group, Alhaji Abdulai Yakubu Zingirinjini said, all the party structures have received the necessary logistics and resources to work under Mr. Samba’s leadership including, one lap tops for each constituency office, air conditioners, Led TV and other items to facilitate party works.

“Chairman Samba with his own resources has secured an ultramodern Regional Party Office, first in the history of NPP in the three Northern Regions, He also supports the construction of some constituency offices in the Northern Region”. They said in the statement

“We the Vice Chairmen have not seen Chairman Samba shortchanging the fortunes of the New Patriotic Party in the Northern region. We have rather seen its progress. He has proven to be competent, hardworking and not ethnocentric. We humbly call for his continue stay in the Northern Region”.e Chairmen caucus reiterated that the philanthropist Chairman of the party will continue his 4-year mandate as Northern Regional Chairman to deliver the 22 parliamentary seats promise for the party come 2020 elections.

At a press in Tamale, Thursday, the Vice Chairmen caucus of the party said, the regional Chairman per the NPP constituency is still in charge of the two newly created regions, the Savannah and North-East Regions.
