NPP Presidential aspirant donates motorbikes

Sunyani(B/A), Sept. 06, GNA - Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, NEPAD and Regional Integration and a New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential aspirant on Wednesday presented 24 motorbikes to the Brong Ahafo Regional Secretariat of the party in Sunyani.

Mr Kofi Asumah Cheremeh, Brong Ahafo Regional Campaign Coordinator for the aspirant who made the presentation said each of the 24 constituencies would receive a motorbike to assist in facilitating, gathering and disseminating news to areas not accessible with vehicles. He said they were Nana Akufo-Addo's contribution to the party in its preparations towards the 2008 general elections and would remain the property of the constituencies even when not elected flagbearer of the party.

"The motorbikes are not in the interest of any individual but for the benefit of the party to help mobilize more votes to ensure the party's victory in 2008 elections," Mr Cheremeh stressed. Mr Cheremeh urged the constituencies to work harder to enable the NPP retain power to continue with its contributions to national development.

Mr Anthony Kofi Kusi, Brong Ahafo Regional Secretary of NPP who received the motorbikes expressed appreciation to the aspiring flag-bearer and said they would help ease the party's transportation problems. 06 Sept. 07
