Former Member of Parliament for Assin Central and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, is set to officially submit his nomination forms for the party's presidential primaries on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the NPP headquarters in Accra.

This was confirmed by the spokesperson of Kennedy Agyapong's campaign team, Kwasi Kwarteng, on his X page on Monday, August 25, 2025.

"This is to officially inform the general public, members, and sympathizers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that Ken Ohene Agyapong will be filing his nomination to contest for the flagbearership position of the party in the upcoming 2026 presidential primaries."

Date: Wednesday, August 27, 2025

Time: 1:00 PM

Venue: NPP National Party Headquarters, Accra," the post read.

Kwasi Kwarteng further noted that the move represents the former lawmaker's resolve to secure victory for the NPP in the 2028 elections.

"This nomination marks more than just a political step; it is a bold declaration of Ken’s determination to secure victory for the NPP in 2028. It is a call to every Ghanaian who believes in leadership anchored on patriotism, honesty, and discipline."
