NDP elects regional executives in Brong Ahafo

Mr Charles Opoku, the acting National Youth Leader of the National Democratic Party (NDP) has called on members of the Party to bury their differences and work in unity.

He said the party has a vision of winning the 2016 election to save the citizenry from hardship and help improve living conditions.

Mr Opoku, who made the call at a meeting to elect Brong-Ahafo Regional Executives on Monday in Sunyani, said the Party was poised to win the 2016 election and urged all members to stay vigilant.

He entreated the elected executives to work assiduously to justify the positions entrusted to them.

Mr Opoku urged the members to consult each other when necessary to be able to promote a common goal of propagating the vision of the Party.

He urged the executives to remain faithful to the Party and prevent others from influencing them with money for their support.

Mr Opoku also called on them discard all media publications that Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, a former First Lady is not going to be the flag bearer of the NDP in the Election 2016 as the Party would soon convene a congress to endorse her.

A 22-member executive body with Alhaji Mustapha Mohammed as the Chair, Messrs Adu Gyamfi and Romeo Adu, Secretary and Treasurer respectively and Ms Janet Adomako Yeboa, women organizer, was inaugurated.

Mr Adams Seidu, first Vice Chair on behalf of the entire executives, thanked members for the confidence reposed in them and promised to work assiduously to help the Party to win the elections.

The election was supervised by a team from the Regional Electoral Commission (EC) led by Mr George Gyabaah, the Regional Director.
