NDC wins Sege Constituency seat

Sege, Dec. 8, GNA - The National Democratic Congress (NDC) won in both the presidential and parliamentary elections in the newly created Sege Constituency of the Dangme East District in the just ended election. The party's parliamentary candidate, Mr Alfred Gbordzor Abayateye took a resounding victory when he polled a total of 9,286 votes to win the parliamentary seat.

Wing Commander Patrick Sorbodzor (rtd.), who contested on the Convention People's Party (CPP) ticket received 4,791 votes to place second, with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Mr Adzoteye Lawer Akrofi taking the third position with 2,830 votes.

In the presidential race, NDC placed first with 12,433 votes, NPP got 2,829 votes, CPP 1,074 votes and the People's National Convention (PNC) placing third with 88 votes.
