The Deputy Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Eric Adjei, has said the party is confident of reclaiming the Kpandai parliamentary seat in what is expected to be a rerun, following an order by a High Court.
In an adomonline.com report on November 25, 2025, Adjei said the court’s decision must be respected and described it as an opportunity for the NDC to reclaim the seat.
“The law is the law, and the law has been applied. NDC will definitely win back the seat because our footprints are all over the constituency,” he said.

Adjei also challenged the New Patriotic Party (NPP), claiming that the NDC’s influence in the area is so strong that even if an NDC member contested the NPP’s chairmanship race, ‘that person would easily win.’
He added that Ghanaians have become more politically aware due to the economic hardships experienced under the NPP administration, insisting that any by-election or rerun would favour the NDC.
“Ghanaians now understand the economy and how the NPP mismanaged it. Governance is about the people, and President John Mahama is a grassroots person here to make the country great again,” he indicated.

The rerun follows a High Court ruling that annulled the 2024 parliamentary results in Kpandai after a petition challenging the outcome.
