Information available to Kasapafmonline.com indicates that the ruling National Democratic Congress is planning to hold fresh primaries in the Manhyia North and South constituency, though the party already has candidates.

The Opposition New Patriotic Party has finally put plans in place to organize the long awaited parliamentary primary for the Manhyia North constituency.

Last Friday, executives of the party met the aspiring parliamentary candidates in the area to share ideas and outdoor plans for a successful election.

Disagreements over the photo album bearing a list of polling station executives who would constitute the Electoral College has made it impossible for the party to elect a parliamentary candidate for the area.

The constituency has been in and out of court over matters relating to the constituency.

The NDC wants to capitalize on this development and snatch the seat from the NPP, hence the former’s plan to change its ‘unknown’ candidates for a more viable and prominent ones.

Information available to Kasapa FM’s Maame Broni indicates there is an ongoing meeting Wednesday 1st June by the Ashanti Regional Chairman and the Manhyia North and South executives to facilitate this plan.

A Director of Operations in one of the youth empowerment institutions is tipped for the NDC Manhyia North candidature.
