NDC's Parliamentary candidate hails NPP’s Simon Osei-Mensah

The ruling National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Bosomtwe constituency Madam Veronica Antwi Adjei has showered praises on the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for the area Simon Osei-Mensah for improving the educational sector in the constituency.

Madam Veronica Antwi Adjei who is also the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, remarked that the incumbent MP judiciously used his share of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) in executing developmental projects for the benefits of constituents.

Speaking on Ultimate Breakfast Show during ‘Kumasi speaks’ project at Jachie-Pramso with host Lantam Papanko, Madam Veronica explained that there is no point tainting the image of the MP just to score cheap political points.

She hinted that the incumbent MP does not squander common fund as may be the case in other constituencies.

‘My observation about Simon Osei-Mensah is that, though his government is not in power, he has been working together with the government in executing projects in the constituency, he ensures that his share of the common fund is used in executing projects.

He has been given scholarships to a number of students, and whenever he directs them to me as DCE, I approve the proposal. He has also built schools, contributed to the construction of Pramso clinic, paid lots of children’s school fees, purchase of jerseys for students and footballs. He has really done well, he doesn’t squander the common fund, whiles I am using my share of the common fund for construction of roads, he is using his for educational purposes,’ she remarked.

Madam Veronica promised to build markets centers in surrounding towns for market women to sell their wares.

She further pledged to bring attract investors to the constituency to establish a fish processing factory to process fish from Lake Bosomtwe.

She called on the electorate to vote massively for her and the NDC to be retained in December 7 polls.
