NDC predicts victory in Obuasi

Jacobu (Ash), Aug. 10, GNA - The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has predicted a massive victory in the Obuasi constituency during the December general elections.

"We are confident of winning the Obuasi seat hands down in the parliamentary elections".

Alhaji Abubakar Ocquaye, Chairman of the Obuasi Constituency of the party who made the declaration in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Jacobu, added: "We have brought everybody on deck including the NPP defectors."

He said the party had developed a new vision for the constituency in addition to the adoption of strategies to make victory certain in December.

Alhaji Ocquaye again observed that because of the development projects undertaken by the NDC government in the constituency coupled with the fact that the NPP had failed the residents of Obuasi, the party would definitely win the Obuasi seat.

"The NDC District Chief Executives brought more development to Obuasi than other governments," he claimed.

The party chairman added that the section of the asphalted road in the Obuasi Township stood tall for the public to judge.

Alhaji Ocquaye announced that his party was enjoying the co-operation and support from the electorate more than before.

Alhaji Ocquaye appealed to party members and sympathisers to work harder to ensure total victory for the party in both presidential and parliamentary elections.
