NDC leadership expresses concern

...about developments at Northern Regional Branch

Accra, Oct. 13 GNA - The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Thursday described as "most unfortunate and regrettable" developments in the Northern Regional branch after their regional conference and appealed to members to remain calm.

A Statement signed by Mr Bede A. Ziedeng, Acting General Secretary, said the FEC was concerned about both the pre- and post-conference developments saying these might undermine the party'S unity and cohesion in the region.

The party appealed to all party members to remain calm as efforts were being made to ensure peace and unity in the party. It called on all NDC members to help find solutions to any difficulty in the true spirit of brotherliness.
