An executive of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has resigned from his position, accusing elements within the party of intimidation and a deliberate attempt to scuttle his political future.

Seidu Damba Abdulai, who is the Deputy Communications Officer of the NDC, in Yagaba/Kubori Constituency of the North East Region, confirmed his resignation to MyNewsGh.com indicating that certain autocratic decisions fueled his latest stance.

“There are acts of intimidation against me and a deliberate attempt to scuttle my political future. I am still young and will not sit down for my image to go down the drain”, he revealed to MyNewsGh.com

Asked if he was joining any other political party he said “for now let us concentrate on my resignation from the position I hold in the party. If there are other future developments you will surely get to know”, he added.

Meanwhile, an earlier letter that was sent to the Regional Chairman of the NDC copied to the constituency chairman reads “I want to start by commending profusely, the NDC masses in the Yagaba/Kubori Constituency for the honor and privilege of serving in the highest office of Deputy Communication Officer.

Admittedly, it has been an extremely rewarding experience, building my writing and communication skills in my quest to promote publicity, information dissemination, opinion research, etc, in accordance with article (35) of the party’s Constitution.

Fellow Akatamansonians, it has been an amazing and exceptionally unique honor to have served the NDC under such intense, challenging and heated political season (2015/2016), in one of Ghana’s hottest communities (Kubori), so far as the quest for capturing power is a concern.

I appreciate the opportunities I have been given during this period not forgetting of some impeccable professional guidance and support I have received from some few individuals within the party.

Distinguished members of the NDC. For several reasons best known to me, I wish to humbly resign from my position as Deputy Communication Officer for Yagaba/Kubori Constituency.
