NDC elections: ‘I’m yet to decide if I want to contest’- Nketia

The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Johnson Asiedu Nketia says he is yet to decide if he will run for the General secretaryship of the party again.

He said he can only make a definite statement on the matter after the party has officially opened nominations for individuals to file.

Responding to reports that some individuals are gearing up to contest him in the upcoming national executive elections, Nketia told Okay FM : “I have not decided to contest so how can somebody be getting ready to contest me, I haven’t declared my intentions to anyone. I’m yet to decide,”.

According to him, the Functional Executive Committee of the party will meet today to draw the guidelines and date for the national executive elections.

He observed that the caliber of people who have been elected in the ongoing regional executive elections is an indication that delegates heeded to his advice to elect committed people.
