NDC commends Okaikoi for rescinding decision

The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has welcomed the Okaikoi North independent parliamentary candidate, Andrew Okaikoi back into its fold.

Andrew Okaikoi recently rescinded his decision to go independent after disagreements over his candidature following the splitting of the constituency into two.

The party had earlier given 24 independent candidates a week’s ultimatum to either rescind their decision of get sacked.

The NDC Accra Regional Chairman Ade Coker commends Andrew Okaikoi for reversing his decision.

“He has shown that he is a thorough bred member of the NDC. I salute him and I hope that he is going to join forces with the parliamentary candidate there to annex the constituency,” he said.

Mr. Coker urged other independent candidates who are members of the party to take a cue from Mr. Okaikoi.’

Meanwhile, Mr. Ade Coker told XYZ News about 30 supporters of the main opposition NPP have defected to the NDC just a day after the NPP parliamentary candidate for the area Ursula Owusu accused the NDC of defacing her campaign posters. Ade Coker said the defectors will be paraded publicly on Thursday.
