NDC aspirant appeals for votes

Nkoranza (B/A), March 12, GNA - Dr. Kofi Amoako-Gyampah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for tomorrow's bye-election in Nkoranza North, has appealed to all eligible voters in the area to approve his candidature by voting massively for him.

Dr. Amoako-Gyampah, a medical practitioner, made the appeal at a press conference at Nkoranza on his vision and plans for the constituency.

He reminded the people of his selfless services when he served at Saint Theresa's Hospital at Nkoranza and asked them to appreciate his effort with massive votes to win the parliamentary seat.

The NDC candidate promised to ensure the provision of more health facilities in the area if he gets the nod.

Dr. Amoako-Gyampah, currently in-charge of Jema hospital in Kintampo South, assured the people that he would not disappoint them and would work assiduously to accelerate the development of the area.

Major Derrick Oduro (rtd) and Mr. Osei Bonsu, Junior, candidates for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Democratic People's Party (DPP), respectively, are also contesting the bye-election.

The bye-election at Nkoranza North became necessary following the resignation of the incumbent, Eric Amoateng, who is facing narcotic drug charges in the United States.
