NDC activist against mass transfer of voters

Krobo (B/A), Oct. 29, GNA - The Electoral Commission (EC) has been called upon to be wary about the mass transfer of votes across regions and constituencies to avoid electoral fraud.

Mr Alex Baffoe, National Democratic Congress (NDC), Special Assistant in Techiman in charge of Special Duties, made this observation when he met with the youth wings of the Party at Krobo; Mesidan, Asueyi and Aworowa in the Techiman North Constituency.

He said, in every democratic country, citizens were allowed to transfer their votes from places they registered to other locations where they might find themselves during the time of voting. But when hundreds of voters decide to transfer their votes to specific constituencies, then it must be noted that there could be a fishy deal somewhere.

Mr Alex Kyeremeh, the Techiman North NDC Parliamentary Candidate, called on all the opposition political parties to pool resources to train adequate agents for the December 7 polls. He advised supporters of the NDC to avoid all acts of hooliganism before, during and after the elections. 29 Oct.04
