The Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress has announced the passing of activist Patrick Prince Ankrah, popularly known as Kofi Wayo, after a short battle with illness.
In a statement signed by the National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo, the wing expressed sorrow over his death, describing him as a dedicated youth activist, entrepreneur, and fearless advocate for justice and fairness who inspired many across the political divide.

"His sudden departure is not only a loss to his family and friends but also to an entire generation of young politicians who saw in him a voice of compassion, loyalty, and selflessness.
"His frank honesty, magnetic charisma, and steadfast commitment to the cause of his friends and colleagues endeared him to people across the political spectrum. In a nation often divided by ideology, Kofi Wayo reminded us that integrity, compassion, and patriotism transcend party lines,” the statement said.
Senior NDC member Yamoah Ponkoh is dead
The Youth Wing reflected on his life, describing it as one defined by integrity, conviction, and love for his country.
"As we mourn his untimely departure, we also celebrate a life that shone brightly, championing loyalty and selflessness. His voice may be silenced, but what he stood for will continue to resonate with us," the statement added.
