NDC Parliamentary candidate for Prestea/Huni-Valley tours constituency

Petepom(WR), April 21, GNA - Mr Kwasi Blay, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Prestea/Huni-Valley Constituency, has pledged to collaborate with the chiefs to improve living standards in the area.

He said chiefs in the past ruled the nation and therefore should be used as the repository of knowledge for development.

Mr Blay made the pledge at Petepom near Bogoso when interacting with the people as part of a tour in the constituency. He said the New Patriotic Party had deceived the people in the constituency and regretted that MP's Common Fund for development had not been well utilised in the area.

Mr Blay urged the people to register during the re-opening of the voters' register in May to cast their vote during the 2008 election. Mr Evans Amoh, NDC Vice Chairman for Prestea/Huni-Valley constituency said it was high time the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government was voted out of power because of high cost of living.
