Busunya (B/A), Sept. 01, GNA - Mr Eric Amoateng, Nkoranza District Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has received the nod of Delegates to be New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Nkoranza North Constituency.

He bagged 73 votes of the 77 delegates at a primary at Busunya, while his opponent, Mr George Effah Baffoe took the remaining four votes.

Two other contestants in the race, Mr Edmund Kwaku Baffoe and Mr Prince Fosu Adjei failed to turn up for the elections.

He advised the members to avoid acts that would tarnish the image of the Party.

Mr Baffoe, after the declaration of the results, embraced Mr Amoateng and pledged to support him to win the seat.

Mr Kwame Ampofo-Twumasi, District Chief Executive, advised members of the Party to work hard by visiting people in their homes to canvas for votes.
