"My work will give me VISA" to parliament again MP

Aprade (Ash), March 28, GNA - Madam Elizabeth Agyemang, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Oforikrom Constituency in Kumasi has said that her optimum performance in the constituency for the past four years would grant her the "visa' to contest the seat again on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in this year's general election.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Aprade in Kumasi, Madam Agyemang expressed optimism that the NPP delegates who would vote in the primaries to elect parliamentary candidates for the party would elect her to contest the seat because of the good things she has done for the people in the constituency since she became the MP. She mentioned some of the things she had to her credit to include the reshaping of feeder roads, provision of bore-holes, supply of educational materials to schools, awarding scholarships to brilliant but needy students in the constituency and regular visit to the people in the constituency.

Madam Elizabeth Agyemang, who has picked her form to contest the Oforikrom NPP parliamentary primaries appealed to those who would be contesting the primaries with her to place the interest of the party first rather than their personnel interest. She also appealed to the NPP supporters in the constituency to vote for someone who could re-win the parliamentary seat for the party in the area.

On the conflict rocking the party at the Oforikrom constituency, the MP said measures were being put in place for an amicable resolution before the primaries.
