Mpohor NPP advised over looming 'disaster'

There is a looming disaster in the NPP's Mpohor constituency if party executives do not step in to correct misgivings amongst members.

According to the Wassa Youth Forum, morale is high time low as agitations, counter accusations, and divisive rhetorics have increased due to machinations by Alex Kofi Agyekum, the MP for the area.

The Forum said the MP has been calling parents to warn them about their children's engagement in politics, and withdrawal of support for any candidate who intends to compete with him in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.

The MP is alleged to have warned about how he can ensure that such persons lose their jobs for opposing his intention to stand for a third term, which many people in the Mpohor constituency have objected.

"The MPs approval rating in the constituency is all-time low due to a disconnect between development and the people's welfare", the Forum stated.

The Wassa Youth Forum said in this era where many members of parliament are helping their constituents, it takes a divisive politician to create a bad image for the NPP.

The Forum warned that the youths will take to the streets and demonstrate against a non-performing Mp who only thinks about his reelection, without much to show in the Mpohor constituency.

"We condemn this campaign of lies going on in our constituency, and how Alex Kofi Agyekum is rendering the Npp unattractive in our area ", the Forum added.
