Mahama’s administration is a golden age of corruption - Duncan

Kwamena Duncan, Central Regional Secretary of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has asked Ghanaians not to look at only a year of the Mahama-led administration.

According to him, “they should start judging and analyzing the current administration from the time the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in general came to power; with the late President John Evans Atta Mills as President and John Mahama as Vice President”.

Kwamena Duncan’s submission follows assessment of President Mahama’s one year in office; the pros and cons.

To commemorate his one year anniversary, President Mahama interacted with the media at the Flagstaff House in Accra. The theme for the press meeting was “one year of responsible, transparent and accountable governance”.

But speaking on Peace Fm's ‘Kokrokoo’ programme, Kwamena Duncan says the theme should be changed to a “Golden Age of Corruption”

Even though corruption occurs in every government, Kwamena Duncan who has been one of the strong critics of John Dramani Mahama and the NDC says corruption instead of decreasing, has rather increased in Mahama’s administration.

He agreed with a section of Ghanaians who think the press meeting was ‘another waste of time’ and added that the performance of the current administration is nothing to write home about.
