The National Limited Voter Registration Exercise by the Electoral Commission (EC) to register first-time voters began smoothly at Odumase, the Sunyani West District Capital in the Bono Region.

The exercise, which started in earnest at all EC District offices nationwide on Monday, June 17, would end on Sunday, July 7.

As at 1200 hours when the Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited the registration centre at the District EC Office, 30 people had registered.

Mr. Emmanuel Yeboah, an Assistant District Electoral Officer told the GNA that the exercise was scheduled to commence at 0700 hours and would be closing at 1800 hours each day.

He said they had not had any challenge, either technical or logistics and entreated those eligible to come and be captured in the national voters’ register.
