Let's all respect the President's decision - MP

The Member of Parliament for Sunyani West, Honourable Kwadwo Adjei Darko, has urged his constituency to exercise Restraint even though the President did not given him any ministerial appointment. The president knows why he decided to put me on the bench, and his decision must be respected.

According to the former Minister for Local Government and Rural Industries, he will continue to serve his continue to serve his constituency ,with or without a Ministerial portfolio. He has therefore, charged his supporters to continue to support the NPP government, since it is the only party committed to the welfare of the people of Ghana.

Hon. Adjei Darko, was however, quick to add that in as much as he is not bitter that he was left out of the President?s list of Ministers, his good name should not be dragged in the mud by his own people he has served and will continue to do so with diligence .

Honourable Adjei Darko said this when he commissioned an Enviro-Loo Toilet at Fiapre in the Sunyani Municipality.H e noted that the Ministry of local Government and Rural Development has voted 350 million cedis to clear heavy refuse from the Fiapre community.

He disclosed that the first lady Mrs Theresa Kuffour promised to build a community centre for the people of Fiapre adding that the Ministry of Local Government Rural Development, voted 250 million cedis out of the total amount of 750 million cedis to start the project.

He used the occasion to advise young farmers to cultivate sunflower to supply the sunflower project t at Kwatire.

The Municipal Chief Executive Mr Ignatius Baffour Awuah who was at the session said the Enviro-Loo Toilet is to eliminate the practice where people ease themselves indiscriminately.

The Acting Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Baffour Awuah, tasked the keeper of the Enviro-Loo Toilet to be responsible and maintain the project.

The Krontihene of Fiapre, Nana Takyi Ababio, appealed to the Sunyani Municipal Assembly to renovate the Methodist School to make it safer for the school children in the area.
