La Dadekotopon MP given a second chance

Accra, April 14, GNA - Nii Amasah Namoale, 49 year-old Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon in the Greater Accra Region, was on Sunday re-elected unopposed through popular acclamation as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the December elections. Party supporters jubilated amidst drumming and dancing after Mr Fredrick Osekre, Chief Assistant Electoral Supervisor of the Electoral Commission, introduced him. He was the sole candidate who filed his papers for the primary.

Nii Namoale, delivering his acceptance speech, thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and lauded the constituency for being loyal to him during the past three-and-a-half years. He recounted many development projects that he undertook to uplift the area and pledge to do more if re-elected. He said victory in the December election would open a new phase of golden agenda where all major lands of the area which had been taken by government would be duly paid for.

Nii Namoale urged NDC faithful to rededicate and recommit themselves to winning more supporters for the Party. Mr Joseph Laryea Affotey-Agbo, MP for Kpone Katamanso, called for team work and unity among members of the Party to help in effective campaign that would culminate in victory in December.
