Kweku Baako: I felt bad for 'Beautiful' Ayariga's wife

Editor-In-Chief of the "New Crusading Guide" newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, says he empathizes with Mrs. Anita Ayariga, wife of Hasan Ayariga, flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), for the ‘torture’ she went through at Tuesday’s IEA Presidential Debate encounter.

Four presidential candidates with representation in Parliament namely, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Abu Sakara, flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Hasan Ayariga (PNC) and President John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), participated in a historic Presidential debate organized by the Institute of Economic Affairs in Tamale.

Just like every political debate, various pundits have come out to express their views on how each candidate performed, but it appears the PNC flagbearer is being singled out as having underperformed.

The "New Crusading Guide" editor, who was contributing to a panel discussion on the performance of the four presidential candidates at Tuesday's function, said on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ that he felt really uncomfortable for the wife of the PNC flagbearer, particular when the audience occasionally mocked at some of his responses.

“His wife is really beautiful;...the dignity and value of women is such that, sitting there and the reactions coming from the audience might have been disconcerting. It is not good and I felt for her. Such a beautiful creation, to subject yourself to this torture: I felt so bad…” Kweku Baako said.
