Kwaku Baah chairs Eastern Regional DFP

Koforidua, April 4, GNA- Mr Kwaku Baah, one time first Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was on Thursday elected as the Eastern Regional Chairman of the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP). Mr Baah together with other 14 regional executive were elected unopposed by popular acclamation at the Party's Regional Congress held in Koforidua.

The other executives included Nana Asiedu, Regional Vice Chairman, Mr Philip Tete Otchere, Vice Chairman, Barima Yaw Osafo Kantanka, Regional Secretary, and Silas Aniaku, Deputy Regional Secretary. The rest are Godwin Dorwu, Regional Treasurer, Beatrice Norman, Deputy Regional Treasurer, John Kuma, Regional Organizer, Kwasi Owusu, Deputy Regional Organizer, Kande Fuseini, Regional Women's Organizer, Cecilia Tagoe, Deputy Regional Women Organizer, Michael Dzordzorzi, Regional Youth Organizer, Kwasi Laweh, Deputy Regional Organizer, Alex Kwakye, Regional Public Education Officer, and Gordon-Ocloo, Deputy Regional Public Education Officer.

Addressing the Congress, Nana Asiedu said the Party had a brighter future to win the December elections and urged all to work hard. He reminded them that being a new party there was the likelihood of it facing some challenges but that should not discourage them from selling the party to the electorate. Barima Yaw Osafo Kantanka thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in them and assured members that they would live up to expectation. He pledged that they would work hard to ensure that the party becomes attractive in the region.
